Mandasaru Valley Nature Camp in Daringbadi, Kandhamal, Odisha

The Mandasaru Gorge ecosystem, located in the eastern part of Odisha’s Kandhamal District, is one of India’s last remaining secret wildernesses. The valley is known as the “Silent Valley of Odisha” due to its unpredictable weather, stunning natural beauty, and diverse wildlife. The 15 km stretch is surrounded by 22 hills, the highest being Saashimaha Manda Hill (3280 feet above sea level).

The Mandasaru Gorge, also known as Gdang Kutti, has six waterfalls, two of which are perennial and the rest are non-perennial. Water from the four falls (Beingumaha, Kaadigdapa, Prisibrunda, and Keragaadu) forms the Naputimaha perennial stream, which flows down the gorge and through the forest before meeting one of Rusikulya’s tributaries.
